Mountaineer Tournament Schedule

The Snow is flying and piling high, which means that wrestling season is here. With school canceled today it changes a few things for the Varsity team’s travel plans to the Mountaineer tournament in Philpsburg. The team will meat at the school at 12:30 and push through the snow at 1. The Philipsburg-Osceola team has been very accommodating to us and will allow us to practice once we arrive there.

We will be staying at the Harbor Inn (814 342-0250) tonight and compete Saturday.

This is a pool style tournament where with a full weight class all wrestlers will compete in 5 matches. Weights are split into two pools of 4 wrestlers where all wrestlers meet. The top two record from each pool will move into the semi finals of a bracket to wrestle for places 1-4, and likewise the bottom two records will move on to wrestle the other pool for places 5-8.
