Districts Schedule and LineUp

The finale is upon us. The reason for all the grueling hours in the practice room, summer days and weekends spent away from the fun and sun, meals missed, blood lost and injuries iced begins this weekend with the District 10 Championships Friday and Saturday at McDowell Intermediate. The tournament will decide the top four wrestlers in each weight class to represent our District at the North West Regional Tournament in Altoona next weekend (2/27 and 2/28). The schedule for this weekend follows.

Friday 2/20

1:00 Team dismissed from School
2:00 Weigh-Ins
4:00 Wrestling Begins-Preliminaries, Quarterfinals, 1st Round Consolations
Wrestling should conclude Friday at 8:30

Saturday 2/21

7:00 Bus leaves School
8:00 Weigh Ins
10:00 Wrestling Semi-Finals and 2nd Round Consolations
12:30 Consolation Semi-Finals
Break and Dinner at Ringside
3:30 Consolation Finals
5:40 Parade of Champions
6:00 Championship Finals
Wrestling should conclude Saturday at 8:30

Our Lineup is probably the fewest number of entries in the district tournament ever for General McLane. Injuries, suspension, weight loss plans and ineligibilities claimed 5 spots from our team which has suffered from lack of depth all season long. With 9 wrestlers entered and the talent in those nine individuals our goal is to advance all wrestlers to the Regional tournament. This is an attainable and realistic goal.
