Freshman Tim Wheeling napped his third Zboyovski Construction Wrestler of the Week honor of the season for his dominating 21-6 technical fall over Fort LeBoeuf’s Brandon Puckley. Tim posted 8 takedowns in the bout, one that was a close match at last year’s Junior Olympic tournament.

Congratulations to Tim Wheeling for nabbing his second Wrestler of the Week award for earning the Fred Bell Tournament Title. Tim entered the tournament unseeded and on a 11 match win streak. This year’s Senior Night is scheduled for February 11th, 2009 at General Mclane High School. The Senior ceremonies will take place in the gymnasium before our wrestling match against the Fort LeBoeuf Bisons.
The Jr. High wrestlers made a fantastic showing at Union City on Sat, Jan 31 placing 14 out of 17 in the top four. McLane had six champions starting with Ken Stoll at 75lbs, Joe Wheeling at 80lbs, Ossie Bowers at 105lbs, Tyler Hendricks at 145lbs, Zack Chestner at 165lbs, and Jake Baker at 210. [...]
